Learning Goals:

Learners will:

  • develop an identity paragraph with relevant well-chosen facts, definitions, concrete details, quotations, or other information and examples.
  • use precise language and domain specific vocabulary to inform about or explain the topic

Learners will do this by:

  • writing a topic sentence related to how their topic of choice connects to parts of their identity through windows and mirrors
  • writing with sufficient clarity and context, specific types of supporting details to match and analysis and elaboration describing how the evidence connects to the topic sentence and why it matters.
  • integrating vocabulary into their writing
