Learning Goals:
Learners will know:
- why and how activism is powerful,
- why activism matters,
- what are some examples of injustice and how activists fight against them,
- how activists can achieve their goals along with what types of support activist receive to help them on their journey to create positive change.
Learners will do this by:
- reading and annotate texts for evidence that answers questions related to activism and
- reading and annotate texts for evidence that contributes to the overall central idea of a text and across multiple texts
- writing a response about the importance of protest by using evidence from their note taking sheets.
