Learners will know:
- why and how activism is powerful, why activism matters
- what are some examples of injustice and how activists within movements fight against them
- implicit and explicit ways that systems oppress groups of people
- how past and present movements have challenged systems of oppression
Learners will do this by:
- watching short videos and taking notes
- playing a visual vocabulary game to explore the differences between implicit and explicit bias
- filling out a survey to choose which expert topic they would like to research
- responding to a prompt in writing related to implicit and/or explicit bias
