Learners will:
- know why and how activism is powerful
- know why activism matters
- know what some examples of injustice are and how activists fight against them
- know how certain strengths or character traits help activists be successful and make positive change
- know how activists can achieve their goals along with what types of support activists receive to help them on their journey to create positive change
Learners will do this by:
- reading and annotating texts for evidence that answers questions related to activism
- continuing to summarize and look for main and central ideas
- comparing notes and ideas in small group discussion focusing on clarifying and negotiating
