WAESN Youth Activist Academy

Join WAESN July 12th – 16th for our inaugural Youth Activist Academy!

Registration is open to youth ages 12-16 with limited availability.

Classes will be held in the Central Seattle region.

Participants will engage in a selection of the following topics during this week-long academy:

  • different types of activism
  • create professional development for educators
  • understand, analyze, and write policy and legislation
  • interrogate, challenge, and create ethnic studies curriculum
  • conflict resolution and restorative justice
  • practicing self-care and radical self-love
  • developing and facilitating youth organizations

Registration is $300/per youth and includes lunch every day.

20 seats are reserved for youth scholarships to cover the entire registration cost. To be considered for a scholarship, please complete this form no later than June 30th.
