WAESN Youth Activist Academy

Join WAESN July 6th – 20th 1:00 p.m. – 4:oo p.m. for our second Youth Activist Academy!

Registration is open to youth ages 10-16 with limited availability.

Location: Woodland Park Zoo and University of Washington.

Participants will engage in a selection of the following topics during this week-long academy:

  • different types of activism
  • create professional development for educators
  • understand, analyze, and write policy and legislation
  • interrogate, challenge, and create ethnic studies curriculum
  • conflict resolution and restorative justice
  • practicing self-care and radical self-love
  • developing and facilitating youth organizations

Registration is $500/per youth.

We are offering a sliding scale for registration fees. You can register and choose the scholarship option if you are unable to pay for registration. If you’d like to pay for registration and are unable to pay full price, choose the sliding scale option. If you’d like to pay full price for registration and donate registration to a student needing a scholarship, choose the registration w/donation option.
