DESCRIPTION:WHAT: Stay Woke Conference \nWHEN: Saturday\, December 12\, 2026 | 10:00 a.m.–4:oo pm \nWHERE: South Seattle College | Brockey Center | 6000 16th Ave. SW\, Seattle\, WA 98106 \nREGISTRATION: General registration opens to the public November 1 \nRFP: Student leaders can apply to present a workshop here. \nCLOCK HOURS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE \nFounded in 2017 by the North Thurston Public Schools BSU Coalition\, Stay Woke was created because traditional systems failed to center student joy\, history\, or healing. While we have grown to serve a diverse intersection of marginalized identities across Washington\, we remain grounded in this Black-led origin story\, honoring the student labor that built this sanctuary for the Global Majority. \nUnlike other conferences\, the mics stay entirely in the hands of students\, putting students in charge of every level of planning and executive decision-making so young people directly shape their own futures\, and enhance the experiences of their peers. \nThis year\, Stay Woke became a project of WAESN and is being opened up to adults to come and learn from youth. Clock hours will be available for purchase to educators! It will be held at South Seattle Community College in Seattle on Saturday\, December 12th from 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. \nIf you know students who would like to take a leadership role and present at the Stay Woke conference\, please share this presenter application form. Applications must be submitted before November 1\, 2026.
